...I ate my first pumpkin muffin tonight...and my second...I'm hooked!
Let me back up...and I'll try to be brief here since I know that 'writing' is not one of my strong suits...but this is worth sharing!
I haven't posted pictures in a while because one, I have been crazy busy with sessions and two, I have been really sick...I am feeling so much better now thankfully...
I had two back to back sessions this afternoon in Grapevine...my clients were so much fun, but I was totally wiped out on my drive home and I still had a maternity session coming. Now, dont get me wrong, I am so thankful for the business, but I'll admit, I was pooped when I got home!
When I pulled in my drive way I noticed a package on my front door...It was festive with a pumpkin on the front and little sticky-pop-out dots that spelled out f o r y o u. At first I assumed it was for one of my kids so I brought it in the house and peeked inside.
It was for me...I
pulled out a hand written note from one of my clients, Melissa...it was the nicest, sweetest and most sincere note I have recieved in a very long time! A "thank you" note full of words that encouraged me, lifted me and completely blessed me. Melissa and her family have been my clients for two years now. She is just gorgeous and has such a warm personality, she's married to a great guy who is always up for a family session and she has an adorable little boy who I just adore... we have a session together coming up in mid November, I haven't seen them in a while...
Also inside my goodie-bag were two packages of homemade pumpkin muffins! Oh, my, goodness...let me just say that these muffins are to die for...forget about carbs, I ate two of them tonight...so far...
Melissa lives in Plano...I'm in Grapevine...and she drove out all this way just to do something nice for me, to bless me...how did she know that I needed that today...!
...my mom always told me growing up that "God loves us through other people...look for His love in others"
So...THANK YOU Melissa for the effort you put into baking those yummy muffins and for the time spent writing that sweet note and for driving all the way over to my home...your kindness means so much to me...I am so blessed to know you and your family...
I love pumpkin muffins...that's a vegetable, right?
